Permits will be issued at Fire Headquarters 

7 days a week from 6:00am to 6:00pm

  1. Purchase your permit (permit fee is $10.00)
  2. On day(s) you want to burn brush call the fire dept. (978)-887-5148 Ext 333
  3. Leave your name, address and permit number. (permit number is located in the top left corner of your permit)

 

 

 

 
Burning Guidelines

Burning will be allowed only on the property designated on this permit.

Burning is allowed between January 15th and April 30th.

Burning is allowed between 10:00am and 4:00pm.

All fires shall be started no later then 12:00 noon and extinguished by 4:00pm.

Burning shall be at least 75 feet from all structures.

Burning must take place on land closest to the source of material.

The fire shall be attended until completely extinguished.

There shall be available a water supply at all times.

Fire shall be burned down to coals and covered with snow, water, sand or soil.

 
Items that may be burned

Brush, cane and forestry debris from other then commercial or industrial land clearing operations may be burned
