The Topsfield Fire Department
consists of 1 Chief of the Department, 3 Captains, 3 Lieutenants, and 21 Call Firefighters. The station is staffed, full
time, 7 days a week from 0600 - 1800 hrs. From 1800-0600 hrs the station is covered by off duty full time firefighters and
a dedicated group of call firefighters. The department has 2 Pumps, 1 Quint, 2 Rescues and 1 Rapid Response Vehicle
that is staffed 24 hours a day. Topsfield is primarily a residential community, with some light industry located
on US Rte 1. There are two major highways running north and south within the borders of Topsfield, US
Rte 1 and Interstate Rte 95.
